I was walking down to my local shops one day and I was standing at the curbside and waiting for a set of lights to change when I saw a bright new modern car sitting at the red light waiting to turn the corner. It had expensive wheels, it had a bright red paint job, and it was about forty thousand dollars worth of fast and powerful car.
I stood there looking at it. I am on disability pension due to a mental illness and I have lost all desire to work full time unless it was doing something full time for God and so my idea of owning such an expensive car is out of the question and I was sort of sad that I had lived a life full of addiction and that I was not feeling in the state to get a high paying job and own a car like that one day.
I stopped thinking about owning the car and looked at the driver and wished that I had a friend that owned such an expensive car and that I could go for a drive on the roads where you could do some serious speed.
Just then, God spoke to me and said,
Do you know Matthew you are like that car. People look at you and your gifts and wish they could possess for themselves the gifts that you have. Some people are happy and ask me simply just to go for a ride with you and spend some time with you.
I smiled, it was one of the finest things the Lord God had ever said to me in my long friendship with Him.
Today at a Coffee shop called Gloria Jeans I met a girl and the Lord had me start a conversation with her and her friend by giving me some information about her. As I let her know three good personality traits about herself I really got her attention. Soon she was convinced that I was hearing from God and I asked if I could continue to bring her a message from God. She agreed and we had about a ten minute chat. We swapped email addresses later on and when I got home tonight she had written me an email before she went to bed. It read
Hi Matthew,
It was wonderful meeting you today. Thank you for your words of encouragement this evening. I must say you caught me off guard in Gloria Jeans there and I am glad that you were able to bring a smile to my face - one which did not leave for a very long time. People like yourself are truly special and you have a wonderful gift, a calming nature and a truly amazing persona. Again, thank you for moving me and for the comforting hug which I felt I needed before saying goodbye! Let's face it, everyone needs a hug!
I will pray tonight for you, for me, for my family and friends and because I really feel that I want to and I haven't felt that need in a long time.
A coffee down the track would be nice, so take care and have a wonderful week. I have a very busy week at work as usual, so I am counting down the days till the weekend where I am hoping for sunshine and some r&r!

This is one of thousands of encounters I have had where God has had me give a message. This is the first time after a message that I was prompted by the Lord to give a person my contact details and get theirs. Before I went to bed I had that wonderful message.
The same day that I got the message from the Lord about being like a car he said another thing to me. It was a clear night and I was praying on my back and staring up at the stars when I heard the Lord God say:
You are like a star to me Matthew.
The next day I got an invitation to speak on depression and suicide on what was billed an all STARS benefit night. I was smiling when I saw that invitation and the word star was in it.
I run a prophetic web site where I write personal messages from God to people and about one in five people give me some feedback on their message. Today I received some feedback that was quite long and proved that I both had a good gift and that I was a bit of a star, it read:
Prophet Matthew,
Grace and Honor. May the Lord of hosts bless and give you your hearts desire.
GOD has given me grace in getting me in contact with you. What GOD has spoken through you is soooo on target that it had me in silence for a couple of days. I think I'm ready now to email you and thank you. Thank you so much for going before the throne of GOD on my behalf and delivering a word which brought me clarity, hope, direction and peace. GOD is on the display!
"Called to the Office of Jeremiah", WOW! Jeremiah was God-driven. On the other hand I got scared, his mission and life was though, he was misunderstood and suffered much rejection. I see much of that in my own life already, people don't understand me and I don't get much help and support becoming who I must become. I have decided despite it all to remain true and faithful in the process (it is not easy). I receive this Office, if it is what GOD wants me to do.
I am completely amazed by the way GOD is using you to see and speak. Amazing! You are very sharp and the Word of GOD in you is "on time". It is true about the heart of David, my love to worship and all the other names you mentioned.
Remarkable. Yes, there are many things that I do in the Kingdom. Because of that I went through a time of confusion, not knowing that my coat had many colours. For a year now I have been aware that GOD is calling me as a Prophet and am in training. It has been Prophesied by two different Prophets not living in this country. And GOD has showed it to me several times in dreams. Nevertheless I have never really embraced it fully, I think I'm scared, I don't see and Prophecy like how the others Prophets (like you) do. GOD uses you very mightily, Prophet Matthew. You don't know me nor have you ever seen me, yet you knew all of this about me.
Your prayer gave me strength, I know many people but don't have many real friends. I receive this word of prophecy and I will lift you up before GOD's throne in my times of prayer. I hope that we can build a internet-fellowship by emailing because I sense that GOD is working something out for the advancement of HIS Kingdom in this hour. I would be most happy to hear from you from time to time. I do want to share with you that I sense that we are in a strong season of Prayer (All night Prayer) and Fasting even. This appears to be a season of the Watchman. Much prayer seems to be required in this time and period.
