I have had some really good friends that were addicted to drugs and the drugs caused major problems in their lives. All of these friends eventually hit bottom and decided that they needed to seek help to fix the problems they were having with drugs. Many of them knew that they needed to go into some sort of drug rehab program, but they were all very nervous about what a rehab program actually was. All drug rehab programs are similar, but some of the programs try to combat the problem of drug addiction in different ways. Rehab programs will also usually offer some type of continuing care for their patients, because drug addiction is not something that can be fixed immediately. Drug addiction is a life-long struggle that must be fought with everyday. A rehab program with a good continuing care facility can help a person not only get sober, but stay sober the rest of their life.
